INTRODUCTION
P. Venkat Ratna Nag, BDS, MDS, is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Meenakshi Ammal Dental College Chennai, India. He has completed his BDS from HKDET Dental College and MDS from Yenapoya Dental College in 2004 under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Dr. Nag has been very passionate about implantology and has been practicing implant rehabilitations since 2007.
He became a Fellow at the International Congress of Oral Implantology in 2008 and became Diplomate at the International Congress of Oral Implantology in 2011. He has received various certifications in advanced surgical and prosthetic implant training and in the field of digital dentistry. He has also authored dozens of publications in international PUBMED and SCOPUS indexed peer-reviewed journals like the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Brazilian Dental Sciences, etc.
Harnessing his vast experience, he has developed and researched extensively for his novel technique TTPHIL ALL TILT®, a treatment protocol for fixed implant rehabilitation of maxillary and mandibular edentulous arches. This evidence-based biological and biomechanical concept demonstrates how to achieve soft tissue and crestal bone stability around immediate function implants. His innovative technique has been of great benefit and success, especially for patients who have bone deficiency, cannot afford expensive bone grafts and extensive surgeries, or those who cannot wait and/or travel frequently.
He has placed over 25,000 implants and is zealous to impart the knowledge of his technique to fellow peers. Thus, he founded the Institute for Dental Implantology in 2016, which mentors budding implantologists and is presently serving as its Director. Dr. Nag is also a Professor at Panineeya Dental College, Hyderabad, India, since 2019.
He has delivered lectures on TTPHIL ALL TILT® protocol at various national and international conferences and has been a keynote speaker at several podiums. Dr. Nag is an active member of the Indian Society of Oral Implantologists. He has been a recipient of various accolades, such as:
